REAL TIME STATS ON YOUR OPPONENTS AND TABLE
One of the most powerful features of MacPoker Pro is the (near) real-time table monitoring capability. As you play online, data is mined from the Hand History files detailing how you and your opponents play in a variety of situations. Additionally, the overall table/session statistics are captured to help you determine if the table you are at is a “good” table.

To begin the monitoring process, click the ‘New Session’ icon in the toolbar or select ‘New Session’ from the File menu.

You will be prompted to enter a starting Hand # - this can be any known Hand # that you have played, but you must have actually been dealt cards for that Hand. The beauty of Mac Poker Pro is that it will look backwards and forwards for all the hands you’ve been involved in. It also displays all prior information at that level for the opponents at your table — there is nothing better than to sit down and find a fish you’ve played 150 hands against at your table.

This is really an amazing program — it has made a huge difference in my game. The customer support at openend software is great. More feedback from other players in the forums.

James McManus - Poker Etiquette

Ornery road gamblers keeping a step ahead of robbers and cops, not to mention the locals whose money they won in illegal stud games - them days are over. Yet poker’s outlaw cachet continues to linger, at least in Bodog ads that feature cigar-chomping, woman-stealing bad boys, and with David Sklansky and Mason Malmuth’s brainy advice books with Colt .45’s on their covers. World Poker Tour broadcasts emphasize well-dressed civility and eye-candy hostesses, while ESPN favors smack-talking rowdies for the faux Wild West ambience of its World Series of Poker events.

The reality is that most pots these days are contested by polite, unarmed folks in state-sanctioned card rooms. Nobody named Crooked Nose will be gunning down a sheriff holding aces and eights. A steely-eyed Marlboro Man may raise you the ranch, but since 2002, smoking has been banned at all major events. Spewing one particular curse word now leaves you suspended for 10 minutes; a second use gets you 20. A third, and you’re out of the tournament.

Million Pixel Poker

Another one of these pixel sites is up www.millionpixelpoker.com, and this one is geared towards poker. I see there is already a pokerroom link up there. I wonder how long it will be before Golden Palace puts their stamp on it. And of course, you know how weak I am, and how bad I am with money…so I bought an ad there as well. lol. Hasn’t shown up yet, hopefully soon.

Meanwhile, the ring games have turned ugly for me - I’m back to the 1/2 tables at HW - actually just playing tourneys bought with player points. I need a break. Then I’ll come back like a madman.

See ya all later.

Million Dollar Home Page

I just couldn’t resist.

After following the story for awhile, I just went for it and bought some ad space on the million dollar home page. You’ve probably heard of it by now, if not, it’s fun to check out. There are more and more copycats popping up here and there, but there are more (and weirder) ads on the original.

Nothing going on in the poker world. I’m just playing ring games at hollywood and trying to build my roll a bit.

See y’all soon.
