Things might just be looking up for Kate Moss.
The troubled supermodel has been offered £5m to be the face of poker website nine.com’s new ad campaign. It’s the first piece of good news Moss has received since The Daily Mirror published photographs of her snorting what appeared to be cocaine. Following the expose she lost three big contracts in quick succession from Burberry, H+M and Chanel.

Here’s the catch — you have to make it through 300 hands. For most of you that won’t be difficult. I blew up at 100 hands. I pushed at a NL table against some guy that I was trying to put on TILT. I guess I tilted myself. LOL.

In other news, I blew through 80% of my bankroll playing at Full Tilt. I left the 1-2NL CAP games to play 15-30 limit at 4AM. Devastating. My reccomendation? Don’t do that. Especially at 4AM. At least I accumulated a bunch of Full Tilt Points. Have you guys been using these? I just bought a poker chip set with my accumulated FTP. In the past I’ve bought a couple of books with FTP. The store is getting and better and the addition a week ago of Poker Chips is a great step in a new direction for the store. I want Full Tilt to buy me a 50″ Bravia TV.
Full Tilt’s new CAP No Limit Holdem Poker games are the bomb. Never before have so many fished jumped up river before their spawning season. The salmon are tired and old despite their age - no one has adapted correctly to this new style of play and it is time to take advantage of it. Howard Lederer has added fuel to the fire by recommending that you play LAGgier than normal (or tighter if you’d like). All of the 0.25-0.50NL micro fish have taken this advice to heart and are playing above their ability levels. If you want the extreme end of LAG –> check out the 6MAX CAP games. I have found them to be a mint - just playing my regular NL game with a couple of adjustments - which are:
• POT size control is key - consider whether you want a larger or smaller pot on the flop
• DRAWS -> strong draws play even better than they do in NL.
• TPTK - I have been wary of. With more frequent WEAK draws pushing, TPTK has been getting sucked out on more frequently.

Party Poker continues to develop it’s Mac friendly Java client. So far it looks like they’ve done a great job. We broke the story a couple of weeks back that they had a Mac compatible client available. At that point, the client was “Play Money” only. They have made strides, clearly tested the client backwards and forwards, and now are offering their Java Client for “Real Money” players as well. Personally I can’t play for play money, I just go all-in with anything. The only way to learn any discipline is by playing with the threat of losing cash.
The java client has its shortcomings, however. It is not as fully featured as their download client (PC only). Specifically, they don’t offer tournaments yet via the Java Client, but hopefully this is around the corner. As you can see from the image on the left, they promise they’re working on it. Send them feedback and tell them that you want a MAC client — or at the least a fully featured Java client (ala Pokerroom).
Either way, the future of Mac Poker is bright - we now have Full Tilt’s excellent download client, access to the fields of fish at Party Poker, the Celebrities at Hollywood and the dedication (though no download client) to the Mac platform of Pokerroom. My bankroll is happy.
