CardRoom Supply
Based in Iowa City, Iowa, cardroomsupply.com is a great resource for the amateur or even professional home player setting up a place to play poker at home. They have a great range of products and an easily navigated website powered by the Yahoo Store platform. The only area that needs to be worked on are their pages on casino tables which remain “under construction”.
What sort of merchandise do they have? Here is the list:
• Tables: They offer a huge variety - from folding tables to the highest end casino quality Texas Holdem poker tables. They can add anything you need to your table from drink holders to drop boxes.
• Poker Chips: A small but very high quality selection - 13gm clay casino chips which I own and enjoy, Paulson and Chipco chips whose reputation you are probably familiar with if you’re in the market for nice chips - they are all reasonably priced ($1.10 / chip for Paulsons).
• Chip Sets are available in various shapes and sizes - I like the clear acrylic 1000 chip container.
• Cards: Copag 2 pack for $20 and others.
• Buttons: blinds, dealer, kill and others are available.
• Tournament timers – various harware timers - I guess the largest LCD timer might be useful if you are a large professional cardroom, but even at that level you are probably using a software based timer projected on a plasma monitor. Mac Heads check out Home Game Hero.
• Drop Boxes – This confirms that Cardroom Supply is ready to supply every last one of your needs, if you are setting up a legal (or illegal I suppose) card room.
• Importantly, for orders over $100 they offer Free Shipping. Take a look at cardroomsupply.com
Please note that the above is a sponsored review. What with the UIGEA, and cash being short, I signed up for ReviewMe and they referred me to Cardroom Supply. That said, I really enjoyed checking out the store – they have everything you need to get set up to play at home (or another underground club in Manhattan) especially if you’re looking for a way to spend your Goldman Sachs bonus.
