WSOP 2006 - $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Rebuy tournament
After much anticipation, patience and a knack for knowing when he is on top of his game, Phil Hellmuth has gone on to win his 10th WSOP bracelet, and is now ranked amongst the best of the best! After battling out a field of 754 players in the $1000 WSOP No Limit Hold’em Rebuy tournament, Phil Hellmuth was triumphant again! After a long heads up battle against Juha Helppi, Phil won $631,863, his share of a $2,340,238 prize pool in the event, but even more importantly; he is now tied with Brunson and Chan for the most WSOP bracelets. Phil has never felt better about his game, and winning his record 10th bracelet before the main event is surely a sign of only better things to come.
Phil Hellmuth holds the title to the 2005 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship and is back with a vengeance. The “Poker Brat,” himself has shown the players of the 2006 WSOP what a true professional he really is. Regardless of the fact that he is sometimes known for his outbursts and a short temper, he remains a highly regarded poker professional – even more so now with this latest win! While other cash-game players have scoffed at his attempts to collect World Series of Poker bracelets, they now wonder if they were misguided! Hellmuth is back!
