Full Tilt Poker: CAP No Limit Games

September 12, 2006

Full Tilt‘s new CAP No Limit Holdem Poker games are the bomb. Never before have so many fished jumped up river before their spawning season. The salmon are tired and old despite their age – no one has adapted correctly to this new style of play and it is time to take advantage of it. Howard Lederer has added fuel to the fire by recommending that you play LAGgier than normal (or tighter if you’d like). All of the 0.25-0.50NL micro fish have taken this advice to heart and are playing above their ability levels. If you want the extreme end of LAG –> check out the 6MAX CAP games. I have found them to be a mint – just playing my regular NL game with a couple of adjustments – which are:

• POT size control is key – consider whether you want a larger or smaller pot on the flop
• DRAWS -> strong draws play even better than they do in NL.
• TPTK – I have been wary of. With more frequent WEAK draws pushing, TPTK has been getting sucked out on more frequently.

Some thoughts on CAP from the Full Tilt pros:
