UIGEA

The UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act passed on Friday, October 13th prohibits US financial institutions from making transactions with “unlawful gambling” sites. Despite the fact that the definition of “unlawful gambling” does not include poker, many well established online poker rooms have all jumped ship and are no longer taking US poker players. If you are from Canada, Europe or anywhere but the US these sites are still open to you.

The current holdouts for Mac Poker Players are Full Tilt Poker, Bugsy’s Club and Games Grid

If you are a player outside the US, you have much greater options - see our Non-US sites under Poker Rooms - otherwise put your cash in one of these sites and feed on the fish fleeing the others.
