Check out this article in Britain’s Telegraph and this one in Time magazine.

The poker pros and the majority of the WSOP players, are coming out for Obama, a serious poker player.  In fact a recent online survey showed a 2:1 preference for Obama among players at Duplicate Poker.  Why is this?  Is it because they respect someone who chooses to play a game of skill that requires a good amount of intellect and psychology as well as brass balls - rather than someone who knows the house odds are against him and plays anyway because the lobbyists are paying for everything anyway?

Doyle says that he’s backing Obama because the Republicans support the current US ban where as Obama supports regulation of the multi billion dollar online gaming industry — a sorely needed source of dollars in these financially straining times.

Election TrackerPoker is starting to enter the debate not only in the obvious platform support for or against online gaming.  Our favorite political polling blog, fivethirtyeight.com just had posted a Joe Navarro laden piece on the recent debates and our candidates tells.

Are things looking up for online poker?  Absolutely Look at the graph on the left.  Even Full Tilt Poker is getting in on the action with forum posts about Obama abounding.
